宾语从句中动词的时态分析Ⅰ

对于下面这句话,

She wanted to find whether it would be comfortable to wear. 

whether引导的宾语从句中, 用would而未用will, 这是因为什么呢?

答:

∵whether引导的是宾语从句, 

又 主句中的谓语动词的时态为一般过去时, 

∴ 宾语从句中用would修饰be,  而不是will.

综上所述, 一般情况下, 宾语从句的时态受主句限制, 但也有不受限制的情况: 例如宾语从句讲述客观事实. 

例: 

My mother told me five years ago that the sun rises from the east. 我的母亲五年前告诉我, 太阳从东方升起.
