How to disable BitLocker for ASUS ROG Strix G513QM

Background

  1. I have both Ubuntu and Windows installed.
  2. I wish Zotero installed on both OS can share the same storage.
  3. I couldn’t disable BitLocker in Windows 10.

Steps

  1. Upgrade to Windows 11.

  2. Search “BitLocker” or “Device Encryption” and go to “Device Encryption Settings”.

  3. Switch off “Device Encryption” by clicking on the toggle and then confirm the operation.在这里插入图片描述

  4. Wait until the unencryption is done.

  5. Comfirm that the Windows partitions are no longer encrypted.

Outcome

The Zotero in Ubuntu is now able to access the archive of Zotero synced on Windows.

Notes

  1. Remember to mount the partition before launching Zotero.
  2. In case Zotero cannot be launched while reporting errors related to updates
    1. Go to Windows
    2. Update system clock
    3. Fully synchronize Zotero
