slash (/) 的用法

看资料时遇到Bayes/MDL和Finite State Machine w/ Data Path. w/是with的缩写，找到出处了。我曾以为/MDL是Model的缩写，多搜了一会发现应该是Minimum Description Length的缩写。

The slash ( / ), also known as the virgule, has several uses, most of which should be avoided in formal writing. Never use a backslash ( \ ) in place of a slash.

正式的论文里用/行不行？

1. stackoverflow有人说程序员既不写语法书，也不在乎语法书。:-)
2. 用了Bayes/MDL的论文得过The ICCV Helmholtz Prize.
